Q: Is En’tyce good for people with Diseases?

A:Well I am a walking testament to En’tyce being healthy for your overall wellbeing. As a Lupus survivor it is very important to have natural ingredients and healthy ingredients in and on my body, hair and skin. Why, because Lupus is an autoimmune disease which means that my immune system is very low and susceptible to so many things. That is why it is important and necessary for me to have products that TRULY are what they say. My Life and the quality of it, depends on it. En’tyce was formulated this way for this reason. My hair started thinning and falling out and I started doing my treatments much more regularly on weekly basis. It made such a difference. That is around the same time that my I started my journey on learning and understanding shampoo’s and conditioner’s and the whole ingredients thing and what they truly mean. Also how they impact my health. So, I have had many clients with various illnesses reach out to me about our En’tyce product line as they are seeking an authentic Natural alternative. As previously mentioned. You may or may not be aware but anything that goes onto our skin , scalp is absorbed into our body via the skin thus entering our blood stream. That includes your hair, entering your bloodstream from your scalp. Many products contain SLSs, SLESs, Mineral oils, Petroleum, Parabens, Methylparbens, and the list goes on and on. It has been documented that they can cause hair loss, skin irritation, and reek havoc inside the body.

Q: Did you know just how much we care?

A: We choose to use Stainless Steel in preparing our formulations instead of aluminum because aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s and Breast Cancer. (Although there are no studies to this date that conclusively point to aluminum as a major cause for breast cancer and Alzheimer’s, the results are not all in yet. Our bodies do not require aluminum. We also know what we rub on our skin, we do absorb into the body and bloodstream. If you’re not a gambling person, you may want to choose your personal care products very carefully to avoid aluminum.) Read more

Q: Why do we prefer to use Cold Pressed Oils over Non Cold Pressed?*

A:We choose to use Cold Pressed Oils over Non Cold Pressed oils when available because Cold Pressed Oil is produced with a lower heat temperature technique. Heat used in the process of making oil diminishes the flavor, degrades the nutritional value and alters the color. Only, the very, very best for you. Read more: Fresh Pressed Oil Vs. Cold Pressed Oil | eHow.com

Q: Why do we search for and only use Organic ingredients that are QAI and USDA certified?

A: We search for and only use Organic ingredients that are QAI (Quality Assurance International) and meet USDA standards. QAI is the National Organic Program that develops, implements, and administers national production, handling, and labeling standards for organic agricultural products. The QAI also accredits the certifying agents (foreign and domestic) who inspect organic production and handling operations to certify that they meet USDA Standards. Only the very, very best for you.

Q: Why do we not dissolve our MSM ingredient in chemical or alcohol for En’tyce Products?

A: We have made a choice, a conscious choice not to pre-dissolve MSM prior to adding to the En’tyce formulations because we would have to use an extremely strong chemical solvent or an over proof alcohol. Which either way if we were to pre-dissolve the MSM it would not be visible in En’tyce Nourishing & Replenishing Herbal Scalp Treatment & En’tyce Herbal Temple Root Gro (DHT Blocker). However, from an integrity standpoint we do not want to add any chemicals or alcohol to our products. So, we add the MSM directly so after time you will see crystallization speckles of MSM in En’tyce Nourishing & Replenishing Herbal Scalp Treatment & En’tyce Herbal Temple Root Gro (DHT Blocker). PLEASE NOTE: The products are perfectly fine it is not going bad, it is normal. We have had all of our products Microbiological tested at a certified Laboratory.

Q: Why do we prefer to use Extra Virgin Coconut, Olive Oil?

A: We choose to use Extra Virgin Coconut and Extra Virgin Olive Oil because of the intense and increased nourishing properties and benefits that they have to hair.

Q: Why are we extremely conscious about not using any glass that may in anyway contain Lead.

A: We are extremely conscious about not using any glass that may in anyway contain lead because of the many serious health implications that can effect the body if exposed to Lead.

Q: Why is our Shampoo runny and not thick?

A: Our Replenishing Moisturizing Shampoo is runny and not as thick as what you may be used to is because we do not add any stabilizers, which is an unnecessary added ingredient.

Q: Why do we not use Stabilizers in our Shampoo, Conditioner and Daily Serum?

A: We do not use Stabilizers in our Shampoo, Conditioner and Daily Serum because we strive for natural solutions. Shake it and you can mix it yourself. Do you really need an ingredient that is not doing anything for your hair? We didn’t think so, so we Shake, Shake, Shake your way to the new movement.

Q: Why do we not use any perfumes or colours in our products?

A: We do not use any perfumes or colours in our products because we want strive or a superior product line that does not need to make the true smell or mask the true colour. Only the very, very best will do.

Q: What will En'tyce Do For Me?

A: If you are still not convinced that the En'tyce system WILL help your hair grow longer, consider this:Your hair products may be damaging your hair. For example, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is known to cause eye irritations, skin rashes, hair loss, scalp scurf similar to dandruff, and allergic reactions. However, you will probably find it on the ingredient list of most of your shampoos. This harsh sulfate will dry out your hair and cause breakage. If your hair is chemically processed, you can count on it doing even more damage. En’tyce Your Beauty – NaturallyProducts are sulfate free shampoo and contains NO SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS). If your hair is dry, your products are probably making the problem worse. Another common ingredient in many black hair care products is Mineral Oil. Mineral Oil is used in many moisturizing products because it is cheap. However, it provides no benefit to your hair and can actually increase dryness. This is due to the fact that Mineral Oil cannot penetrate the hair shaft. That means that it cannot get inside the hair. It can only coat the hair and give the temporary illusion of moisture. This may seem harmless, but the coating effect actually seals moisture out of your hair. The best oil to use in your hair is actually Essential Oils. So if this is the case, why are Mineral Oils used so much? Well, the ugly truth is that manufacturers load their products up with cheap ingredients that are useless to your hair, then charge top dollar for the product. Overall, the reason is greed. Our hair care products are enhanced with Essential Oils and do NOT contain mineral oil. Will using products that are not natural cause health problems? You have probably heard a lot about the use of Parabens in many hair care and cosmetic products, and that these Paraben can cause cancer. Butylparaben, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben are Parabens and the most commonly used preservatives in the United States. They are considered relatively safe and non-toxic. However, Methylparaben can cause allergic reactions, and Propylparaben can cause contact Dermatitis. Dermatitis of the scalp can cause itching, flaking, and hair loss. En’tyce Your Beauty – Naturally Products do not contain any Parabens. En’tyce Your Beauty Naturally Products are specifically formulated for natural, chemically treated, dry and damaged hair. However, hair in good condition will also benefit from the gentle, moisture building, and strengthening formulas. En’tyce Your Beauty Naturally Products speaks for itself!!

Q: What Is Hair?

A: First, what is hair? Hair is protein. More specifically, hair is a couple of layers of intertwined keratin that “grows” from hair follicles. The hair that you see on your scalp, arms, legs etc. are dead cells. Each strand of hair has a lifespan of about 2 years, sometimes longer, then they shed/fall out and are replaced [if you are healthy and didn‘t get the short-end of the baldness stick] with new hair. But when it comes to protein, we’re not talking about shedding, shedding, unless it’s in excess is normalWe’re talking about protein and it’s affect on hair breakage. What is protein? Protein is made up of long chains of amino acids. Your body needs every kind of amino acid to perform normally. The amino acids our body’s cannot produce, we get from food. Protein is required by the body for the growth, maintenance and repair of all cells. If you are not getting enough protein in your diet, your hair will be affected. Really, think about it. If you have ever seen pictures or known someone with an eating disorder, for example: anorexia, one of the first things to be affected is hair. The hair will fall out more rapidly, become dull and thin. Once the hair is out of the follicle, there is nothing much you can do about it’s “health”. However, there is a lot you can do about making it appear healthy and keeping it on your head as long as possible.Along with keeping your hair moisturized and eating a good amount of protein, you can also add protein as an external treatment. Externally, protein helps coat the hair, filling in your hair shaft, adding strength to your tresses. Think of your hair like shingles on a roof. After years of heavy rain, snow, damaging sunlight, those shingles become brittle, they break, they lift and they tear. Hair, with all that we do to it, does the same thing. External protein is the replacement shingles for your old roof. There are many types of protein sold over the counter for hair repair. They all do the same basic thing, but they are not all the same in strength. Some protein can soften the hair. Some, vegetable proteins, makes the hair shiny and healthy looking. While others, like keratin protein help strengthen the hair. Depending on your hair needs, you will know which protein to pick. Read labels! En’tyce has been formulated with a delicate balance of these ingredients for true results for your hair. Believe it or not, you can overdo it with moisturizing your hair, and you can surely overdo it with protein. This is where, getting to know your hair is important, even if your stylist is the only one who touches it. Bring your En’tyce products to your hair stylist to use at the salon.

Q: Types of Hair Relaxers?

A: RELAXER HAIR FACTS: Types of Hair RelaxersAlkaline and Lye relaxersAlkaline relaxers were informally discovered in the United States during the 19th century when Garrett Augustus Morgan, an African-American, observed that it is possible to change the basic structure of the hair shaft when certain chemicals penetrate the cortical layer. Hair relaxing products often require washing and combing with soap which had been made with excess lye.A lye relaxer consists of sodium hydroxide (also known as NaOH or lye) mixed with water, petroleum jelly, mineral oil, and emulsifiers to create a creamy consistency. On application, the caustic "lye cream" permeates the protein structure of the hair and weakens its internal bonds, causing the natural curls to loosen out as the entire fiber swells open. No special deactivation step is required after washing the lye cream out, other than the routine pH adjustment and hair-conditioning. Manufacturers vary the sodium hydroxide content of the solution from 5% to 10% and the pH factor between 10 and 14. "Base" and "no base" formulas Entirely distinct from the chemical concept of base as a wider definition for "alkaline", lye relaxers may be labelled as "base" or "no base". In this instance, the "base" refers to a preliminary coating of petroleum jelly onto the scalp to protect it from being irritated or burned by the lye cream. "No base" creams have a lower concentration of lye and may be applied directly to the hair roots without requiring the protective "base" layer, although these weaker products may still irritate the skin of some people who must therefore coat their scalps beforehand anyway. "No lye" relaxers Due to increasing awareness concerning the potential dangers of sodium hydroxide found in traditional relaxer formulas, many women have begun abandoning them.[1] "No-lye" relaxers have become the preferred formula for those unwilling to give up relaxers completely. "No-lye" relaxers are of three main types. One type operates on the same general principle as lye relaxers but uses a slightly weaker alkaline agent, such as potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide, or guanidine hydroxide. The last of these is not pre-formulated, but rather is generated at the time of use by combining a cream containing calcium hydroxide (slaked lime) with an "activating solution" of guanidine carbonate. Another type of "no-lye" relaxer uses ammonium thioglycolate, which is also known as perm salt for its use in permanent waves. Perm salt is a chemical reducing agent which selectively weakens the hair's cystine bonds instead of disrupting the entire protein, but strips out the natural oils even more thoroughly than the alkali hydroxide products. Afterward, the thioglycolate must be oxidized with a special solution of hydrogen peroxide or sodium bromate. Lastly, in most relaxers sold for home use, the active agents are ammonium sulfite and ammonium bisulfite (the two compounds are interchangeable, depending on the surrounding pH). These also selectively reduce the cystine bonds, but are much weaker and work more slowly. Nevertheless, their mild action minimizes (but does not entirely eliminate) collateral irritation to the skin. Commercial sale Early in the 1900s hair relaxing products emerged, such as "G.A. Morgan's Hair Refiner Cream." Sale of "lye relaxers" began in 1971 by companies such as Proline. Proline also produced the first commercial "no lye relaxer" using potassium hydroxide in 1973.

Q: SODIUM LAURETH (SLS,SLES) Stuff?

A: What's Up with this….SODIUM LAURETH (SLS,SLES) Stuff?... Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sodium Laureth Sulphate... apparently it's bad for your skin. But is it really? And if so, why? What is SODIUM LAURETH SULPHATE? Both Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and its close relative Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are commonly used in many soaps, shampoos, detergents, toothpastes and other products that we expect to foam up. Both chemicals are very effective foaming agents, chemically known as surfactants. The SLS found in our soaps is exactly the same as you would find in a car wash or even a garage, where it is used to degrease car engines and floors. In the same way as it dissolves the grease on car engines, SLS also dissolves the oils on your skin, which can cause a drying effect. The alleged dangersSLS is also absorbed into the body from skin application. Once it has been absorbed, one of its actions is to mimic the activity of the hormone estrogen. This has been blamed for a variety of health problems from PMS and menopausal symptoms, a decrease in male fertility and breast cancer.Apparently it also does something yukky to our skin proteins, which causes not only irritation, but also allows environmental contaminants easier access to the lower, sensitive layers of the skin and can damage the eyes causing cataracts.Research in America at the Georgia University Medical Centre indicates that SLS and SLES can both react with other chemicals found in cosmetics to form nitrosamines and 1,4 dioxine, which are carcinogens. The counter-argument On the American Cancer Society website there is information suggesting that the bad press for SLS is an urban myth concocted to help the manufacturers and resellers of natural and organic skin care products to flog more to the unsuspecting and gullible consumer. The truth about SODIUM LAURETH SULPHATE The truth is - who knows! However, when in doubt a little common sense is perhaps the best policy. It is a fact that cancer is on the increase. It doesn't seem out of the realms of possibility that the chemicals that abound on our food and in the skin care products we put on us and in us, could have something to do with this increase. It may seem unlikely that the authorities would allow so many manufacturers to put a potentially harmful chemical in their products - but we're talking about the same authorities that allowed the extensive advertising of smoking and alcohol and approved the release of drugs like thalidomide in the past. Natural skincare products make sense Personally, I feel that it makes sense to lead the most natural life possible. Intuitively, surrounding ourselves with lots of harsh chemicals doesn't seem like a great idea. It doesn't take a lot of extra effort to find fantastic-smelling, wholesome natural skin care products that really work and look great on your bathroom shelf. For me, it's just common sense to choose natural and organic skin care.
